Can see web cam icon but friend says she doesn't have one
right below my friends display pic i can see a web cam icon. and when i asked her to launch it she said she didn't have a cam. my question is, if she didn't have a web cam, would there be a web cam icon visible to me?
Yahoo! has been glitchy as of late....they are working on things to change with the new version (this is my guess) and it seems everytime they do that, strange things happen with warnings, alerts, and special features. The cam one has happened to me in the past too, it says I have one on when I don't have one attached.
Whether or not you actually have a webcam this option can be selected under Tools > Options > Personal > My Webcam: Allow other users to see that I have a webcam.
Some drivers, software etc. will trigger MSN's detection and most users are not aware of this. However there is still a chance your contact could be lying or telling the truth.
