MSN Connection Problem: Code Error 80048823

When i try to connect to msn messenger i have this error code : 80048823.. Please help me..I cannot to sign in to hotmail.com too

Check out the following list of possible solutions:

1. The date on your computer needs to be set properly -- double click the clock verify that

the time and date are set.

2. If your password information is not saved, verify that you are typing it in with the

correct case (uppercase or lowercase).

3. Change your password @ https://login.passport.com/ChangePW.srf to

something smaller (under 10-12 characters), then try signing in again.

4. If you use a firewall (like ZoneAlarm, Norton Internet Security etc. ), it's possible

that Messenger doesn't have the correct rights to access the Internet, especially since you

upgraded. You may need to re/add Messenger to the allowed list of programs in your firewall

if this is the case.

5. If you disabled your firewall in the past, it still may be blocking Messenger -- try

restarting it and see if that helps the situation. You also might try uninstalling an

installed firewall, to verify that it isn't causing a problem (even if it is disabled).

6. Clear your IE cache and cookies -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then

Internet Options, then click the Delete Files button, and when that's complete click the

Delete Cookies button.

7. Check your IE Security settings -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then

Internet Options, then Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section, and verify that "Check

for server certificate revocation" is unchecked. Also verify that 'Use SSL 2.0' and Use SSL

3.0' is checked, then click OK.

8. Click Start, then Run, and enter the following:

regsvr32 softpub.dll

then click OK

and do the same for the following:

regsvr32 wintrust.dll

regsvr32 initpki.dll

regsvr32 MSXML3.dll

It doesn't work because i can't change my password,i can't connect to hotmail,msn passport too.. And when i try to reset my password,im giving the answer of my secret question but still i can't! Msn told me that i tried so many times and i must try later..but when i try later it changes nothing..
Please help me..

I think someone block my msn,not hacked but blocked?

Check your time and date if they're set correctly, usually this is what causes the problem.

I checked the time and date but it doesnt work And i can't login in another computer too..


i dont know what to do,i dont know why i can't connect to my msn too.. I don't think that they hacked me,because they didnt change my msn nick or my msn information.. But i can't login i heard that there is a program that they can block your account,they cant login but you cant login too

I've had my previous msn account sort of "hacked", but not really hacked. I went to a website that apparently I shouldn't, entered my msn username and password there to sign in for something, and then I lost it and I was never able to sign in again.
Did you visit a website lately where you had to put in your e-mail address and password to sign in.

I never write my account name and password on a website,i know that is not safe..It's very strange this problem The last day i have logged in is 17 agust..
