Some online messages went to my offline messages
I opened MSN today and got offline messages that were actually supposed to be delivered to me when I was talking to a friend. It said the messages were sent around 6:53pm but at that time, I was talking to her. I look back at my conversation history and noticed that those messages are not in the conversation like they were supposed to be, but instead were delivered to my offline messages later on. It seems MSN has a problem with all messages in a conversation getting through on time. Some not making it until hours later, but still tell you the time they were sent.
Oh, and this was the precise time that she changed her status to appear offline but was still online talking to me. Like not all messages could be sent during that time of the status switch but some could. Maybe sometimes MSN fails to deliver the messages in the conversation when someone is changing their status to offline. Maybe all message get through and only 1% don't arrive until you sign back in and then they are out of place and are called offline messages when they are not. Making them appear like they were not in the conversation unless you read the time stamps on the messages. Then you look at the convo history and the messages that were sent around that time and put messages that weren't delivered in the convo at the times they are supposed to be (meaning look at the time stamps of the messages that did make it around that time and then the ones that didn't make it at that time and imagine the messages that didn't make it but occured, say 10 seconds later in the place they should be with you mind), then those messages that are so called offline ones make sense because they were supposed to appear at that time.
Anyways, is this problem familiar? Messages in a conversation were sent to me at a certain time but very rarely don't appear on my end until I sign back in and are then called offline messages because that person was in the process of changing their status to offline?
Oh, I forgot to mention. I changed my status to offline after she did and then these 3 of maybe 6 messages didn't arrive in the convo and I signed back in the next day and they arrived and were called offline messages. So maybe it happened because the message was sent around the time I change me status and one of the servers temporarily thought I was offline when I was just appearing as offline. So those messages she sent couldn't be delivered until I signed back in because one server had to take a moment to realize I was just appearing offline. I'm not sure exactly how it works.
