I'm not familiar with Server 2003 at all, so the implication it may have something to do with how WLM functions for you left me at a bit of a loose end on my knowledge. I still cannot make any promises as to how the Reg Fix will work on your OS, but I still think it's worth a try.
David 's vast knowledge has helped many people solve their problems over the years. I can attest to how difficult it can be to solve issues under the very best of circumstances, and with the growing number of pirated copies of XP (and every other program you can think of) it's sometimes necessary to know if a user's copy is legit or not. It affects the thought process of how to solve a problem. It also makes a difference between giving good advice, and advice that's going to be useless. A number of times I've spent several hours trying to help someone every way I know how, only to find their OS is not legit and that nothing I do is going to make a difference. It's a very frustating feeling to waste so much time when that knowledge up front would have been very useful.
Rather than a carefully crafted, politically correct, overly wordy, round about way of asking the question - as many people would do - David simply cut straight to the point. Sometimes such directness is unexpected and I understand how it can be interpreted on a personal level. I've chatted with David a number of times, and even if your response had been that yours was not a legit copy, I suspect he'd have told you to buy a real copy, but still tried to the best of his ability to give you what he felt was the best solution to your immediate problem.
I hope that either David's suggestions on security settings or mine will help you get your WLM back up and running. Please let me know if you try the Reg Fix and if it does or does not work. With a bit of patience I'm sure this can be sorted out.
