Y!mLite Chat Client

What is Y!mLite - Y!mLite is a new chat client for yahoo, like the rest it's a 3rd party free chat client. I started developing it just over 2 months ago, so you will find bugs I am always updating and improving it, listening to peoples' suggestions i will only be too happy to implement peoples ideas.

Visit Y!mLite's HomePage here: http://www.lagmaster.net/~ymlite/index.html Chat Without Exploits!

- So please email me with suggestions/Bugs the more i get the more i can make it better for everyone to use (Any Delphi developers reading can download the source code to help with thier own programs). It's also bootproof (well from the testing we have done so far)

Thanks All and Happy Chatting!.

Thanks Craig. Could you give us a bit more info on Y!mLite, and what it does differently from Yahoo? You know... why would we want to use it?

Without having to copy and paste from the website too much, the client is still in development. I don't want everyone to simply just use it and give up everything else <img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle> but at the moment just throwing around ideas. But for all the information as to what it can do can be found on the website located here:
http://www.lagmaster.net/~ymlite/index.html

IT's basically an alternative chat client, it's not a sub for Y!Messenger as that is for IM's alone - this client is just the "chat" side of yahoo messenger. (For now anyhow) i am working on the IM side at the moment.

As for Voice, I am 50% complete on writing a modual that interfaces with yahoo's own OCX drivers (yacscom.dll) but
from what i am aware, nobody has yet (appart from yahoo messenger) got a working program that uses it, i could be wrong.

WebCam - I simply have not had the time to look at it, but yes
it's on my agenda. I have been working on Y!mLite all the time i had free to get it to the stage i am in this short time. So at the moment it's just have a look and have a play. The main reason
for Developing it is simply because i was getting fed up with
people "booting" me, i say "booting" loosely as booting simply
refers to a bug in the chat client that crashes the rest of the
program if invoked. At the moment there is no known exploits (boots) for Y!mLite.

Neat program,it does seem to have the booters stumped.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>I do like to hear as well as talk so how long do you think it will be before we have those options?

Sure enough... I tried again this morning and now it's working! Go figure.
