incorrect time stamps on offline messages?

My time stamps are way off when I leave an offline message for a friend. My computer clock is correct and his is also..... what could be causing the incorrect time stamps on when he accesses the messages I leave for him. Any ideas on this? I can't find anything in yahoo help that addresses this question.

not sure about this, but maybe its internal to yahoo and could because the times are based in a different country...where are you from and is there usually an error of the same amount in hours ? or is it just randomly way off ? for example, for me on this forum...the clocks are always 5 hours behind !! is it like that?

Is your friend and yourself in the same timezone? If not, are they seeing the time you sent in their zone? Example. British Columbia Canada, and Ontario Canada are 3 hours apart. Say you sent a message in Ontario at 8:43PM, are they seeing it as 5:43PM?

thanks for the suggestions. We are in the same time zone.... that's what is so puzzling. And the time stamps on his offline messages are accurate. But the time stamps he sees on MY messages are really off. I am not sure whether they are off by the same amount each time. Also not sure if this happens with everyone I leave a message offline for or just this one friend.

Ok.... I think my last message may have been unclear. When I check the time stamps on the messages he leaves for me, they are accurate. When HE checks the time stamp on messages I leave for him, those time stamps are WAY off. I will have to check to see if they are consistently off by the same number of hours.

We are in the same time zone..... and his computer clock and my computer clock are both accurate. weird huh?
