I've been having a big problem using the smiley faces when sending instant messages. All I get are the symbols associated with the face. I do have ms paint installed and the Enable emoticons box is checked. I have windows 2000 and the new version of Yahoo Messenger (5.5). It was working fine at first and then all of a sudden I encountere the problem. Do you have any advise for me?

They should be working for you, maybe check again to make sure the enable emoticons is on.
If it is on, and still not working, you could try uninstalling and reinstalling yahoo. That may fix the problem.
