how to increase status message length

Does anyone know of a registry key edit or updated .dll that will allow a yahoo messenger user to leave an "away" message longer than the lame 30 characters or so?

In addition, does anyone know how to get around the 10 smiley limit on yahoo messenger? There used to be some fun smiley combos you could send...unlimited numbers...

Thanks!

No, I think he knows where it is, he's wondering which Key exactly it is. Anyone got any idea?

Yes, you are correct...I know how to edit the Registry, but would like to know how to overcome the character limit -- or increase it -- when setting a personal status message, other than the default choices.

Same goes for the smiley limit...

Thanks!

Ive tried to do this to my messenger before... Not sure if it was the exact way OpTiMiSt says...but it was similar, I found I could edit them to be longer, but when you actually put them up, It would be there, but not show all of it... So anyone looking at it wouldnt see it any longer, like it actually never worked.

Anyone test anything that actually does work?
