Symbols in Nickname

I have noticed that some people are able to add symbols (ASCII code) to their Nicknames. Does anyone know how to do this? I have tried, but Yahoo tells me that my identity contains a word that is not allowed. I want to add something like this (¯`·._.·[ to my NickName.

Because its thier Nicname not thier ID! Ive explained this b4, in Yahoo! Chat you can give your ID a Nicname. You can give each of your Profiles under that ID a Nicname too. OK when in a Chatroom click "File" and then "Edit My Nicname" a box comes up for you to type your Nicname you want to give that ID. Finish the process they have you go thru and then close Chat Window and "Refresh" Yahoo! Messenger then go back into Chatroom and your Nicname will show up. This is only for Chat not Private Messages. You can put your Nicname as anything, (ie) I have a =^,,^= in one.

Those characters are now illegal and cannot be used as nickname

And I mean NICKNAME. Not ID
