Look over your preferences close. Might be that you have it set that when in a chatroom allow those in the room to view without asking. Also look in the box where the people are listed that can always view.

Hi Jose,
While i'm sure there could be a way to do this like there used to be, although i can tell you that you will not be shown or helped in any way to do so on a help forum as fancy said it's an invasion of privacy and i for one would rather show friends and family my webcam without the possibility of anybody looking. If you feel potent about getting such software then i suggest using google to find it if it exsists. Irish Gaming - 1000+ Games and climbing! |

True, but the use of google shouldnt be marred by some bad things that have happened.
I can say to my knowledge you cannot view cam's without permission, you "used" to be able to but yahoo! stopped that been allowed and havent seen a way since to do it. All users should be fully aware of what they download of the internet whether it's off a search engine or a site as any site could hold a malicious file whether intentional or not. There are many other chat programs out there that allow you to see open webcams all over the net, you shouldnt feel you have to pay for such an activity just on yahoo!, it's clearly not worth it and don't be under any delusion that if a programs costs money that it actually works as that is not the case. Be aware of what you download from Anywhere! Keep your antivirus up to date! Be weary of people almost forcing you to download files! If there are such exploits for functions in yahoo! we (yahoo! users) would know better staying safe than sorry! There are many good reputable software vendors out there on the net, bad software does nothing but tarnish these decent folks, just watch what you do as the net is a playground of malicious activity. There is no software to help with viewing cams without permission.
You used to be able to ask to view as anonymous but yahoo removed that also. also "reporting a thread" should not be used for asking questions or requesting links to programs that violate privacy. Thanks
