The "new status" dialog seems to limit the length to 48 characters. Type some of the new status message using the dialog. You'll find the (partial) message in the registry. Edit the registry under
(NOTE: if you don't know how to do this, it probably isn't a good thing to attempt without guidance) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Yahoo\Pager\profiles\(y our ID)\CustomMsgs You'll find a numeric key with the (partial) message you entered. Click on the key, and supplement the message as you see fit. I tried a fairly long string, and it worked. I have no idea how big is "too big" - it wouldn't be nice to cause a buffer-overrun in either your window or those of your friends. Use comon sense. |
