A new kind of buddy list???

I recently recieved the following offline message from someone on my buddy list. I'm not trying it....i'm chicken. Has anyone else seen or tried this? I really don't like the idea of everyone seeing my other SNs or invisibility status. this is the message i received~~

Send to 10 ppl and a new type of buddy list will appear...This is cool! You'll know exactly where every 1 is and who they are talking to and if they have more than 1 screen name >>

This message is a big scam. Something like a 'new type of buddy list' does not exist. You can not see where exactly everyone is and you can't see who they talk to. Nor should you want to, because it's one of the worst forms of privacy invasion!

Most messages that say "forward this message to..." are not to be trusted and should be deleted on sight.

I figured as much...in any case , I don't even HAVE 10 buddies, and I don't care what they are doing or under what name, however, I was a bit concerned that I might be getting spyed on. Thank you for such a quick and comforting reply, this is just one more thing I've learned from this very kick *ss forum.

Monkey Butt you are not alone,
I have received the same message...and others...(like) "Yahoo is checking to see how many people are actually using messenger and if you didn't send it to your entire buddy list Yahoo would cancell your messenger." I just ignored and deleted. If Yahoo was going to make any major changes I would be contacted through the proper channels and not an offline IM. I really wish people who start these things would find something constructive to do with their time... like...disappear!
