Yahoo chat and Messenger 5.6

Now ive been using yahoo chat for a very long time and messenger has come a long ways. The simple fact is people are allways gonna try to boot others its been that way for a long time, and in some cases i can see why, people who lock voice chat down for example. there are only two audio chanels per room and if two people lock the mic no one else can talk. The only other thing i can say i dont have a problem with is booting kids from adult chat.
Room booting is all gone now script that causes problems is filtered out now and if a booter trys it they lose their accounts. This is a major step in the right direction for yahoo. Just be careful on using porgrams that block add banners and such becasue yahoo may take your acounts for that in the near future as well. Thats why the have chat to make money from the add space.....
One of my biggest gripes at this point in time are the people who just blindly advocate the use of certain software that is not suppose to being used. Some of this software is comming from people who make money by writing protection and the writing booters for there own programs...Being a computer programmer i can see this in the decompiled work. A computer program is like a finger print very easy to tell it comes from same person.
At least yahoo with its free for all format isnt as bad as many other chat systems that let people just take you out of rooms for no reason .
The first time i was ever booted in yahoo room it was a 40 year old woman. That was shortly after i began to use messenger some where around 1998 but it took me all of about 2 hours to make myself virtually unbootable by putting certain symbals in my filter text, this can still be done today but is virtually useless becasue yahoo stops most of it now. Todays booters use "protocal booting" sending thousands of messages or invites from one or many dumby accounts causing either yahoo to disconect you or your computer to freeze. To avoid these boots use java chat or ignore any one who is not on your freinds list in messenger privacy settings. Once you have ignored a name it stops the bomb at yahoos server and it will not hit you. Yahoo still only lets you ignore so many people and then you will have to remove some. Using programs that breach protocal to help you ignore more people may result in the lose of an account.
Yahoo can and will eventually stop the kids from booting. They care more about there add space then anything so the more banner blocks that come out the faster they will update and protocal upgrades will come out.......

Happy Chatting
