Hi, I have a problem with my yahoo mesenger, When I have a voice chat, the voice of the other party fades away after 10 or 15 seconds. It only comes back when I talk back to the microphone. I don't know wether is a problem of my computer, my internet connection or the yahoo messenger program. Please, any idea that can help me?. Thanks

Try adjusting your volume controls and see if that helps. You might have an outdated soundcard driver as well, try updating your soundcard device drivers.

I found the source of the problem. It seems that came from the motherboard integrated sound card (or the driver as hellsfury_25m sugested). I disabilitated it and replaced it with a full duplex sound card and the problem was gone.
Thanks guys.
I hate when a motherboard manufacturers incorporate shoddy hardware into their motherboard designs. Like crappy soundcard integration [:O]. Most of the time it's a good idea to disable any integrated hardware that is incorporated into your motherboard designs, at least on the cheaper model motherboards. On a higher quality motherboard, I've noticed this is less of a problem.
Just out of curiousity, do you know who manufactured your motherboard?? If not it's no big deal, but I have seen this problem before.
Also No Problem on the help, I'm happy to assist any way that I can![]()

I decided to follow hellsfury_25m advice and updated the driver of the motherboard sound card. This solved the problem, it was not a deffect in the motherboard but the drivers that came in the CD.

Well at any rate I'm glad you got your problem fixed. It was probably just an outdated driver is all.
