advert removal help

i need some help on how to remove of adverts from chat rooms. i know there are advert removal programs but the problem is that once ive used this i get a large space wer the advert used to occupy with a message saying explorer cannot find the page. te same message appears on the list of chat rooms. can anyone advise me how to remove of the huge spaces as it crams up the chat room and doesnt allow me to chat!!!
