Buddy shows as offline on list, but online on web

Hi there,....hello to everyone!!!.

Just a question about Yahoo. I have a friend who sometimes appears as OFFLINE in my buddy list, but on her Yahoo profile on the web she appears as ONLINE. I figured to do that she probably deletes me from her list, then puts me on 'ignore'.....but how does she 're-add' me, without me getting a message saying she's added me to her list?. Or is there some other reason this could be happening?

Well ScrubberGal she is showing as not online in messanger because she is under the invisable status on her messanger the reason her proflie says shes on line is she didnt check this "Check the box to hide my online status () from other users" you will see this if you goto edit your profile checking this box hides your status on your profile
so when you are invisable on messanger you are also invisable on your profile ,Shes not deleting your name ignoring you then readding you. she just hasnt checked the box or it could be that she doesnt even know about it .

Thanks for the reply, but with all due respect, I think you're wrong.

If she were in invisible mode, then her status on her web profile would say 'offline'. And when someone checks the 'hide my online status' box, it makes that little 'I'm online now' (or 'offline send a message') box disappear completely, so you can't see if someone's on OR offline.

Other people on her list I've spoken with say they see her appear as ONLINE on their buddy list, when to me she appears as offline. So that rules out the 'invisible' mode.

I'm still confused.

well if others see her online and shes offline on your messanger than she has probly deleted you like you said and has you on ignore sorry I didnt have all the facts before as for her readding you without permission I have seen some of these expliots on others sites but I havent tried them so I wouldnt rule that out but anyone can open a pm box without a chatters name in it type the id in and your getting pms form them just like your on their freinds list . sorry for the misunderstanding
