having major problems with yahoo messenger
Today I decided to give the new beta version of yahoo IM a try. well when I downloaded it and I couldn't get it to connect to the server to sign on. I changed my password cause I thought hey, maybe someone hacked mine. I changed it, tried to sign back on using new password still nothing. I tried several times, went into prefrences tried every option I could, I even rebooted my computer several times. The messenger was acting like I had no internet connectivity to sign on with, when I clearly had it, I'm running on a high speed connection, I thought maybe my anti-virus, internet security program was conflicting it. It never has before so thats not it, I'm not behind a proxy. So I'm really clueless right now.
So I shut it down, uninstalled it, got rid of anything I had left on my computer of yahoo, and re-downloaded 5.6. Now it's doing the same thing. I can't figure out whats going on or how to fix this problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled yahoo many times (both version but not at the same time) and it still hasn't helped, I even call yahoo customer support, they were no help they just referred me back too the yahoo help website. I have even created another yahoo name just too see if maybe my nick was being hacked, and it didn't even work. I have other friends that can sign on to yahoo right now, so im not sure if its a yahoo server or not.
The only other thing I did today was update my musicmatch jukebox, seems like after I did this, yahoo hasn't been the same. any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
