How to create a new chat room??

Hi everyone,

How would I create a new chat room?? I clicked on create new chat room and then I gave it a new name and I clicked create. It opened the new room but it didn't make it create in the chat room list. I even select the option that says public. Can someone walk me through by creating a chat room that will show up in the rest of the chat room list?? Thanx for any help..

It will show up under the "User List" tab of the chat join screen

It sounds like you DID create a new chat room you just couldn't see your chat room name under the listing. I think that's normal. I tested it and I couldn't see the room name I had created either. But your still in that room and can invite users to join. Was that the problem you were having?

Click "Chat" and then click "Create new room" and specify there what kind of room you want it to be. and boom, theres your room.

You are creating the rooms correctly dsant.

For some reason the user rooms have not been refreshing for a few weeks now.

This is why your room does not show up.

Previously you had to wait for 5 or 6 minutes before your room would show up in the user room list. Now it will not show up until the user rooms begin refreshing again. Hopefully Yahoo get round to fixing the problem and the user rooms start refreshing again.

There is nothing preventing you from inviting others to your room however, but that kinda defeats the object if your intention is to make it an open room.

For some reason I still can't see the room.. Why do I have to invite?? Why can't they just join the room their selfs?? Of course they can't do that because no one see's the room that I created which makes no sense and it makes it more confusing.

When I made rooms, it usually took about 30 minutes for the room to show up. I tried making one a few days ago, and this has a lot to do with how I got banned from yahoo. If you read my other post, (i only have 2 ) you might find some clues.
