It is a problem with Yahoo itself and it is nothing new. Yahoo is a slow service and is not rich. Just try watching videos online on the Yahoo channel, for example. Their servers also have problems and wc suffers freezing and slowdown. I have got that happening too many times in the past and others have as well who I have talked to when we have shown each other wc. It is not a 9.0 problem. It is the service Yahoo itself. Microsoft doesn't have such a problem with that nearly as much because it is a rich company that can afford faster connection media (maybe more fiber optic on their network to relieve bandwidth slowdown) and better programs, and probably has better employees who are more technical.
All I can say is deal with it or use MSN. There is nothing you can do about it. Maybe in 10 years when high tech is cheaper or Yahoo gets richer will the slowdown be a thing of the past in Yahoo. Top speed in Yahoo even with DSL on both ends is 3 frames a second with the wc window normal size (a limit of the Yahoo Messenger program itself; on purpose, I'm sure, to limit bandwidth so the servers don't take more than they can handle is the most logical reason). Actually, I heard that the difference between wc and super wc is that super wc is peer to peer and the normal wc goes through a Yahoo server on its way to your contact. So peer to peer is much faster.
Another thing is it probably won't make a difference if you contact Yahoo. They have a habit of not caring what we think and not changing things despite the fact that they get complaints from Yahoo users, according to what I have read about on the forum. It is a free service after all.
