I cant delete names off my buddy list

OK.. I dont know why this is happening.. but I can't delete names off my buddy list.. they just pop back on.. I tried everything I could think of to do this... but every time I delete a name get to bout 10 deletions it refreshes and they pop back up..i have even seen the messenger scroll on its own.. is my pc possest????
