Multiple requests to view cam from single user

Hi all,

When I was camming on yahoo, I have allowed a user to view my webcam. My user viewing list is showing the user id, viewing my cam. But I am repeatedly getting a request for the view again and again from the user already viewing my cam, . so, I thought some problem with view and allowd to view him for the second request. after some time I removed the user viewing my cam. and the view list was showing no one is seeing my cam, but the user was watching my cam and he was telling what I am showing on cam. How is he able to manage to send multiple requests from single user account, even I allowd him to view.

Let us just say that there is a flaw in yahoo that allows multiple requests. If you do not want that person to view your cam DO NOT grant permission to view

Maybe he sent more than one request before you accepted him or something like that. In that case, I would shut down your cam completely and THEN re-start it if you still want it running. The cam thing is all messed up anyway...I don't use it unless my husband and I are talking to his family. Other than that...I wouldn't trust anyone else looking at me.

Oreo it is possible to send a request to view a cam even when u have been granted permission granted permission to view. As I said it is a flaw in yahoo and like any other flaw it can be exploited. The best solution would be to deny every one and "invite" the people who u want to view u'r cam

I don't believe I said it was impossible. I simply gave another possibility. Indeed one should only invite people one wishes to view one's cam. But in a situation like she described where another person is supposedly NOT viewing her (she closed the connection she thought) and is sitll able to tell her what she's doing, it is best to shut down the cam and re-start if wishing to still use the cam.
