How To Make Your Own "Illegal" ID's

Ok, so here's the scoop. The Yahoo! guys over in Japan or China or Korea or something decided to let people use periods in their e-mail accounts, but see, you can use the accounts as normal Yahoo! names too.

So, now you can make something like hello.fan. The drawback is, you have a small selection of what to have as the thing after the period. Some cool ones are like fan, fu, stuff like that. Another drawback to this is you will get banned if you make too many ID's.

Well, anyway, here's the link - change the things accordingly: https://reg.cn.yahoo.com/cnreg/cnreg...65741&first=0#.

Replace "youridhere" with the first part of the ID you want, then select from A-F, G-K, L-Q, R-W, or X-W to see the available last names after the period for your nickname.

Click the purple button and if it's available there will be another purple button, click that.

The first two boxes are for the password you want the ID to have.

The next is a drop-down thing, select the second option. Put anything. Keep the birthday the same.

Then, in the next two boxes, put your first name, then last.

Then put 123456 for the zip code. Finally, enter the letters and numbers it shows in an image. Click the purple button again.

Choose the left box, and whalla, you got the ID. Have fun

Proof this works - I've made hardtrance.fan, nicks.song, streetracing.fan, and english.lang

I know it's not great since you can't put dashes or long underscores, but hey it's still pretty cool!

I was wondering how can they ban you? You mean they ban the ip you use to visit the site?

Well, it depends on how you look at it.

Since we are in America (well most of us), yes, because we are not supposed to be able to make those. It is only for the Asians that created that system. See, Yahoo! is set in different ownerships for each region...so I guess they decided to let people make e-mail's (and ID's) with dots, like Google's Gmail allows. Apparently, it is called Yahoo! Gmail, I did a little more research and it said that.

So yeah, right now they are "illegals" for us having them. But, since you can make them now, they aren't really illegals. You see what I'm saying?

In one sense they are to us since we aren't really supposed to be able to make them, but then again they aren't because we are able to make them, even though it was made only for the asians. (I say Asians because I'm not sure exactly which part is "CN")

I still am happy, it's pretty cool

*Update* Looks like they are working on the word verification system, and I can't get past it. I think they're trying to stop bot programs...it will probably be working again tomorrow, sorry!

I went to a website for China, and found one of the postal codes for Beijing. 100701

Worked fine for me.

No, they are not illegal. Yahoo! wants you to create these IDs on this web form.

lol I think al of the chinese suffixes are pretty cool-sounding. So , yeah, I made an 'illegal' Yahoo ID. Everyone can now reach me via 'spike.li' Hey, it sounds much cooler and is much shorter than spike223@sbcglobal.net, right?

Yep, a cool trick, and not technically "illegal." Thanks for sharing it.
