I can login to my mailbox but can't login into chat with messenger

hi my friend this is my firs post here and i fell happy for joining this forum.
I have a problem with yahoo messenger
I can login to my mailbox but can't login with yahoo messenger and yahoo messenger tells me this passsword is wrong but my password is correct plz help me.

hi arira, could you tell some more details as to what happened before the incident where u can't log-in in chat using messenger? coz if u could log in at other yahoo services except messenger.. chances are, your ID is banned or locked...

when i want to login it tell me that your password is change or your incorrect and i can use all other services of yahoo

hi, since you are able to use all other yahoo services execept messenger using that ID you are saying, it seems that you have a CHAT BAN only.. try to change your password first and see if it will do any good... then log-in in Yahoo messenger... let us know the results...

thankz for your help but my account problem is the same
and i am not see any change in my account
i have many friends that have this problem
and i change password but can't login.

i had the same problem of you before... what i did was i did not log in to messenger using that BANNED ID for a week.. and it fixes itself automatically... trying to log in to your banned id will reset the ban timer, meaning if the ban had been in effect for 10 hours then you log in, it will go back to zero..try not logging in for the meantime.. hope this will help.. if not let us know...

but my id 3 months ago is locked and it is locked and i tested it every day but is'nt different

you said you are testing it everyday...so im suggesting that you dont log-in to yahoo messenger for a week at the same time send email to yahoo stating that your ID is locked... try to create a little storywhy the ID is so important to you, it helps...

well the problem is u have been banned from chatting.that is some one must has reported to yahoo.using report abuse.so that is the reason why ur not able to log on into messenger and can open the mailbox.so for me it took a year to get that unlocked.and i dint even logged into the messenger using the same id for 6 months or more.i donno not logging in will help u out and also changing the password will help u out and also reporting to yahoo will also not help u out cos i have tried all this.so the things is it will get automaticaly unlocked after a certain period of time

i suggest you visit www.freecreed.com (hope im not violating forum rules) because it discusses about locked or banned ID and ways to resolve it. this helps me in my case, i hope this will help you too.
