Barred in Yahoo Games

Okay i don't know if anyone who uses Yahoo Games has noticed this, but it has been happening to me a lot...I'll be in a yahoo game room and all of a sudden no one can see what i'm typing...Because i have been barred. Sometimes i get warnings from yahoo saying, "You have been barred until ____" as show in my screen shot below. But sometimes they do it out of no where and i don't get a message, i know they do it when you over-invite someone, which me and friends would do a lot to each other in a playful manner, but now i don't even know why i get barred anymore. Sometimes for hours, sometimes for days. So i was wondering if anyone knew why this happens, since i know it's probably part of new security measures, but now it bars me for no reason, and it's frustrating to realize why everyone is ignoring you all of a sudden, is because Yahoo barred you.

This has happened to me too. BUT I have been barred until 2020. Normally when this happens, I get barred for 24hrs not years.lol Help.

I'm appalled.
I've been using Pool, Canasta, Pyramids, and others almost daily for years, and never HEARD of such a thing happening. (Mind you, I tend to generally play with people I know, rather than "strangers", for whatever that may be worth - and I never type in the rooms' public text chat).

So sorry V, I can't offer any ideas - just sympathy, and hope for a speedy solution.

I gave a response to hot4chilli on PM because she PM'ed me, asking if i ever found a solution. And as you can see i started this thread over a year ago and got no responses, and for me the problem eventually went away on it's own. I thought it had been fixed with all the updates Yahoo! had in the last year, because i never experienced it again. Or i thought Yahoo! had stopped using that barring people policy.

Maybe someone else has a different solution or maybe even information on what's going on?

Well I've been barred again and this time till the year 2020. I can't even play against my friend through IM, which sucks.

Anyone finally know a way to get around this?

Well it's alright because I don't think there is any way around this. The funny thing is that it's very specific on the date of December 2020. I've only got like 12 years and 5 months to wait.....

Ha, no. I know why I got "barred" this time and if you really must know it's for using a picture scroller one time. I wanted to see if it still worked since it worked a couple of months ago when I used it. I've never been one to go scroll the heck out of a room but I was always capable of doing so if I ever really wanted to annoy someone. So it was testing gone wrong..... lol

But like I said before, in the past it'd be for no reason at all! And the last time I got barred for scrolling it was a decent reasonable date! Not 12 years!

But hey, lesson learned..... Next time I want to test it - Use a useless id..... Not my useful one.
