How to block someone from Yahoo Messenger

Does anyone know how I can block someone on my yahoo messanger????

I don't use Yahoo! Messenger all that much, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think all you have to do is right-click on the contact's name and click on 'Stealth Settings,' then click on 'Permanently Offline,' and hit 'OK.'

Well that doesn't block them, it just shows you as always off-line to them.

Have you tried putting them on ignore? If you have them on your messenger list, you might have to remove them before you can actually put them on ignore. You can go to Preferences>Ignore List>Add>(enter their screen name) and hit okay>Apply>Okay. Hope that helps a bit.
