Webcam preferences not being saved!

Hello everyone,

Yahoo! Messenger is not saving my Webcam settings. Under the section titled 'When someone tries to view my webcam', I want to select the 'Always allow the following people to view my webcam' option. I configure it with the people I want to allow to view my webcam, but when I exit messenger or reboot my computer, the option reverts back to 'Always ask for my permission'. Is there any way I can get it to keep my selection?

I had the same problem with the yahoo messenger webcam preferences not holding. I installed an older version: Yahoo Messenger 6.1922 (4.5 MB) from this website: http://www.oldversion.com/program.php?n=yahoo I installed it right over the current newest version. I opened it and said no thanks to updating to the newer version, then set the settings the way I wanted them, then restarted yahoo messenger, selected yes to update to the newer version and the settings hold now. I'm using Win XP Home edition with all service packs (SP2) and updates. My exact problem was Webcam preferences not being saved! the automatic view my webcam users would disapear everytime I restarted yahoo messenger. I hope this works for you. This new yahoo messenger has bugs that when they are worked out it will be a pretty awesome program.
