How does Ignore work?

Hello,

I'm having trouble with the ignore feature on one of my profiles. I've added someone, but when I exit and re-log in, they're no longer on my ignore list. I have fewer than the 100 you're allowed. I tried deleting some, anyway, but these changes don't "stick" when I log back in - the original names are there.

I tried to duplicate this on my other profile, and the names I delete from my ignore list remain deleted, and the names I've added remain added.

I totally uninstalled messenger and re-installed it. I've cleared the cache, etc. Does any one have any ideas as to what might be causing the problem?

what messenger are you talking about?

It's YMessenger with Voice 7.0.2.120.

The thing is, in the past I've successfully added people to ignore on this profile I'm now having issues with.

I don't know why this worked, but i unistalled version 7 and installed version 6 of yahoo messenger. That allowed me to ignore the person I wanted to. Then, I updated - again - to version 7. And when I checked the ignore list, the person was still on the list. I was also able to add another person to that list.

I don't know why going back a version worked, but it did and problem solved - at least for now!

Anyway Aida, glad you overcame your problem... and thanks a bunch for posting your solution - that may well help someone else.
