Proxy Settings
I have Messenger 7 on my laptop. Everytime I reboot my laptop, Messenger resets its self to Use Proxies (althought he proxy settings are empty.) I have to set it back to No Proxies. This happens EVERY time I reboot my laptop. Does anyone know how to make these settings work. I do not use a proxy server.

It might be that yahoo is determening those settings by the ones you have on your internet explorer. Have you checked internet explorer and connection and made sure to check off any proxy options? I'm not quite sure why your yahoo messenger would keep doing that, but that is my only guess.

Proxy
OK, I fixed it. It wasn't the settings in IE though, but you made me think of something else. I use SIMP, which is software to encrypt messenger conversations. Anyway, it has a "detect proxy settings" option in the setup. So I turned that off and now messenger remembers the settings. Thanks!
