Active X and script error problem with Yahoo Messenger!

I was having a problem like that too. What version of windows are you running?
I was running winXP. I had to remove a security update from windows for IE6 and then everything went back to normal. I don't know the exact name of the update file, but you can look through your ADD/REMOVE program list and find it there just start working backwards till you find the update saying something like "cumulative security update for Internet explorer"(release date was in june?)

I'm not the only one who's having an issue with activeX. are you still able to download & play games on Yahoo IM. I send or recieve and invite for a game of pool - I accept the invite, then the screen goes white with an activeX "missing content" ICON in the upper left corner. We've tried re-installing JAVA, Yahoo IM-8, Internet Explorer 7, I have Windows XP/ SP2.
Pop-up blockers on - off, Firewall, On,or off, changing the activeX settings on the Security tab, and the advanced tab, Nothing I've tried is working to restore order in the game room. Any ideas?......anyone? .....anyone?

I just wonder, have you tried going back to I.E.6 instead of 7, as I think there MAY be, or have been, a problem or two with 7 and Yahoo ?
