it sounds somewhat appealing but I have to say it doesn't wow me, you know? Still, if it works better than Yahoo messenger usually does that'll be something lol. By the way I love your avatar, very cute!

I think it will be interesting to see how this one finally integrates with MSN. Though...I have to say at the moment I'm having sign-in problems.

I am able to sign in with an older account (it took AGES but it signed in) but the one I normally use, worked last night just fine, today just keeps saying it is signing in...but never does. Already a nasty bug??

*Closes Eyes* Why is it so bright so early?

Well you will notice in 8.0 you have the option to add or pm LCS

LCS been Live Communication Server aka msn

You can add people also from this server but you will not see their status or be able to pm right at the moment.

This meaning its probally just off serverside at the moment is just a matter of "switching on" the option to see and pm both.

I would expect any problems between now and then are final preparation for that vert fact.

After i installed it... My YM keeps crashing T___T.. like i'm chatting and suddenly got disconnected then re-connected again. In the log, it has lines like these, which got some "Socket error". Hopefully, this is temporary

Code:
 On 14:13:45.781| P2P: Received ControlMsg, from:xxxxxxxxx, to:xxxxxxxxxxx, action=0

  On 14:14:06.765| P2P: Socket error happened: Event=16, Code=10060, sock:8780

  On 14:14:06.765| P2P: Send ControlMsg, to:xxxxxxxxx, from:xxxxxxxxx, action=2

  On 14:15:57.281| Received FD_CLOSE

On 14:15:59.140| #Start Session::User connecting to net direct

  On 14:15:59.359| Hostname IP:xxxxxxxxx

  On 14:15:59.390| Received FD_CONNECT

On 14:15:59.421| Received Send Port Success Check

Interoperability looms !?

I'm intrigued - to find under Contact Details, Other, space for IDs for the following:
  • AIM
  • ICQ
  • Skype
  • GoogleTalk
  • IRC
  • QQ (lol - they're courting the Chinese vote here !??)
And they already have MSN/WLM ID space in Contact Details as well.

But so far not only does the WLM part seem unconnected (as Dermot said) - but I can find no way to enter anything into all those other IM ID spots - either for friends or even for myself.

Kingsofcaos6669: What bug is that? lol

Oreo: Same here...usually late at night though. I think it's probably just because they're doing changes to a lot of stuff, especially with the logins and such, in preperation for the Yahoo! + Windows! Live collaboration.

Only bug i have found is the only show online buddies bug which i have sent to yahoo!

if you have the option ticked to only show online buddies and a buddie goes offline it leaves your buddies id on the list but with the grey offline smiley.

only way to remove it is go and toggle only show online buddies again.

as for the yahoo/nickname bug?...could you elaborate on that a bit more?
