Alright aside from all rumors being mentioned now, just thought i'd add in a FACT:

Yahoo! Messenger has officially now been down for 8 hours and counting...
I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet.

First time here..
yo,so i thought i`d come kick it with my homies up in the BBB ..joking i dont really type like a wigger..im just bored..out of my MIND !! ..this no yahoo thing is bad dude..now i know how alcholics feel when the whiskey bottle wont open ..ya know its their but ya cant get it ...its killing me inside ..!! ..no ..its not ..but yeah ..nice to meet you all

I hate to be the bearer of the rules here, but this is a topic of people wanting to know what's up with Yahoo! So if you're bored visit the Off Topic section of this lovely forum, while you wait for Yahoo! to work again. Or even try introducing yourself here at Introductions.

And if anyone manages to log on, please be sure to let us know! That's the news everyone is really waiting for here.

Edit: Once in Off Topic you may even start a thread called Yahoo! Withdrawals for people having them.

yahoo not working at all
Hello all, new at this so give me time..... um my yahoo has not worked for several DAYS not just hours, but i mean DAYS..... i went to install the new version 8 and when i did and tried to sign back it, i wasn't able to, so then i thought they were having problems with that one so i went to download my old version, but still had no luck, it's been problem after problem. when i "TRY" to sign in it will tell me it could not sign me into yahoo and it will then say modem users make sure you are online and try again, also it says lan/proxy users if you know your settings go here then another for need more help click here, so that's all i get and i've done all 4 options given to me for the "proxies" and not one has worked... so i give up if yahoo is down, i wish they would have sent an email out since our email still seems to work, ya think they would have had since to do that at least, and another thing is, if yahoo is "DOWN" then why can i sign on to my yahoo messenger a different way and still see people online...HELLO does that make since????????? didn't think so........

I HATE 8.0 it sucks, what you have to do is UNINSTALL 8.0 adn then download 7.5 once again and install it, that's ONCE this problem gets fixed. I never could get on right with 8.0 myself.

Advice
Go to www.freecreed.com and go down the page till you see " Old Yahoo Messengers " ..Go to that page..and download whatever version you want. I Run 5.6 ..its simple..and runs smoothly.
