Alright, hopefully it's up again soon. Been down for..hmm 3 hours that I've noticed. At first I thought it was just GAIM messing with me.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum, I registered to see what was up with IM today. Yahoo in general has been up and down lately. Mail works ok but groups have been down a lot lately. I prefer yahoo messenger to all of the messengers so I hope they get this fixed FAST.

Let me be the first to Welcome you to BBB (BigBlueBall)! I'm glad you decided to join and i think we all agree with you and hope Yahoo! fixes this problem soon. As you can tell i love Yahoo! Messenger and it's my favorite instant messenger. But like i said, let's hope that all these "downs" are for a good cause and in the end cause Yahoo! services to work a lot better! :P

It is almost 7:00 pm, Saturday here in USA, EST. My YM 7.5 logged me off (without me knowing) some time in the middle of day, may be around 3:00 pm (best guess). It was working fine in the morning. My regular Yahoo and Yahoo Mail works fine. I thhought may be some files gone astray, so I reinstalled YM 7.5 (without uninstalling anything).
Now I see that Yahoo server is the culprit! I hope, in my haste, I have not done some damage to some files by reinstalling 7.5 on top of existing YM 7.5.
Any thoughts?

I hope they fix this fast enough and that they fix at least half the problem Yahoo has.

thank goodness i'm not the only one.

my yahoo mail has been working fine throughout all of this.

i just hope and pray that the voice chat issue i was having is fixed following this down period. that would make my life.

7:30 pm EST YM and yahoo mail are still down. For me at least yahoo mail has been a bit wierd for a good month now.

I woke up about an hour ago, to find 4 or 5 emails from various friends, asking if *I* knew anything.
So, a quick visit here to BBB, a reply to each with a link to this thread, and now at least everyone knows what's going on.

Yes, I must admit, I DO have friends who don't use BigBlueBall - but I'm slowly educating them all.

It would be just lovely if Yahoo could post an announcement on their site when they do this. I appreciate the maintenance, but it sure would save lots of worry and unnecessary downloading......no communication... hmmm, sounds like my job. BTW I just registered and came to this site looking for info about YIM, so Hello to All.
