I can now pull up the http://messenger.yahoo.com page just fine... in fact, it is running really fast. Still can't sign in.

I'm haveing the SAME problem, but, last night I kepy my computer on and Yahoo! was open, rhis morning when I woke up, Yahoo! Generated a error and when I go on the main page of Yahoo! and look at my freinds from there it says I only have 1 freind and that freind (Error) is online. I hope I didn't loose allll my freinds.

Yahoo Messenger Down World-Wide
Yahoo Messenger is down world-wide. Germany, UK, Russia etc, and all of US. There was to be an upgrade allowing MSN Messenger users to chat with Yahoo Messenger users.

Other Message Boards are posting rumors that Microsoft is somehow involved. Did Microsoft somehow manage to tamper with Yahoo Messenger in order to elevate it's MSN Messenger?

Whether this is true or not I do not know - but think about it. World-Wide outage is not just one server - it is ALL of them.

Yahoo has made no comment on this outage

I highly doubt thats the case but ya never know when it comes to yahoo..it could be anything..we may log on and their might be flying midgits on our friends list screaming out for love.

Well on the Yahoo homepage where it lists my friends in the tab... it says I have 5 friends online. I added myself as a friend a long long time ago, and it also lists me as being online so I doubt that is the case.

I just went to check my Myspace ans that is down to fromm a power outage, maybe this could be part of the problem, I don't know.
