Anyone having trouble logging into Yahoo! Messenger right now? Well you aren't alone! The Yahoo! server is down just about everywhere. Why? Well the actual cause is unknown but i think it's safe to assume they are fixing/updating it. Hopefully this will mean fixing ALL bugs in our Yahoo! Messenger. (Yes, i'm a dreamer!)

I say we give it a couple of hours before it is back up again, but for now no one is on Yahoo! Messenger!

My Yahoo! Mail still works here as well as the other Yahoo! services but some people are complaining other-wise, guess some of us are a bit more lucky than others?

So can anyone else confirm everything i just said? Can you log onto Yahoo! Messenger? How about Yahoo Mail?

Edit: Also forgot to add in, the server was fine this morning, problems barely started around 2pm my time (central time). It is 4:19pm now and it's still down! How much longer?!? I miss my messenger. *begins to have Yahoo! Messenger withdrawals* :P

YuP it been down for me about 30 minutes. I can't log into my Yahoo messenger program. Yahoo mail is working but slower than usual.

I don't post that often but come here to check things out when i'm having problems with yahoo. I can't get on messenger either. One of my yahoo mail accounts works, i can't get the other to come up. Thank you for posting this so we know what's going on. It's much appreciated!

Have not been able to access Yahoo IM for about 2 hours.

Email works for one of my accounts, but not both.

yes the servers are down also down is messenger.yahoo.com and chat.yahoo.com I think your right about getting all the bugs out.
everything that deals with the messenger is down

My Yahoo IM hasn't worked for 4 hrs. The other day my e-mail alerts weren't working-they started working again 2 days later . This evening (UK time) I'm not even receiving Yahoo mail

When i first tried, it would tell me i entered wrong password, even though i was entering the correct password and that same password would work on Yahoo! Mail (letting me know it was a Yahoo! Problem, not mine). Either that or it would just go back to the main log in screen making me have to hit "sign in" again with no success.

I really do hope they are fixing the bugs. It'd be a great way of making up the hours they are making us go without it. I'm a Yahoo! Messenger lover, what can i say, i need it! :P

So just like everyone else, i'll go back to doing the only thing we can do... *waits*

I can get into my yahoo email, but I can't sign onto my Yahoo IM.
