Yahoo exploits
Is Yahoo did patched all the exploits? and can we make id now like:-
1.___shergill___
2._____shergill
3.shergill____
4.87637824
5.___35435____
6._shergill_
etc. all this is too much
1.Whats the reason that yahoo pathed these sites?
2.Is there any other way to make these id (means cracking)?
Can anybody explain and post a link where these id's i can make at yahoo. If we are not make these id's today.Give me the link from which we can make these id's in the past days.
Is there any possibility that yahoo start these exploit again.?

Now someone may get on to me.. But I don't really think this is the place to be asking about 'illegals' or cracking...

shergill as has been explained many times before:
1. Those id's you mentioned aren't really "illegal" they were just created before the year 1998 when Yahoo! allowed creation of them. But since there are now "rare" since Yahoo! closes most of the old accounts now, people call them illegals or rares.
2. BigBlueBall does not support cracking or anything like that, so don't ask again for help in doing that.
3. The only type of exploits there was before was making dots id's which now Yahoo! allows anyone to do. (with restrictons, of course) You could make sher.gill or something along those lines.
So in short, sorry but you are not able to create those type of id's today. Maybe in the future if Yahoo! changes their mind, you can, but for now, just take what you can get. (Be happy they allow dots now!)

That's exactly what I was thinking!
Vanessa when the topic contains exploits he's talking about "Yahoo Illegals" (Dermot: dur I meant to say Illegals as in not meant to be done I'm not that clueless you know) and is not concerned with the legal aspect. Now that I think about it those Yahoo ASCII nicknames are also yahoo exploits because those are illegal characters.

As Hatredjealousy explained, Nothing on yahoo! id's is illegal.
We're not talking law here, we're talking about what yahoo servers allow to be made.
It is nothing short of choice, If yahoo decide to allow all these characters then they will, this is simple a feature if they do, not a renounced law.
ASCII id's do not work anymore as the old service they were built on was removed (YCHT)
Nicknames that use ASCII are allowed as disallowing such ruins all asian nicknames straight away, which will never happen.
Yahoo will offer a service and remove a service without notice, you agreed to this as it's in their TOS, However as most companies they can and will not just remove support for every old service straight away, like how they support YMSG 10,11 and 12 still becaue some people still use the old messengers and they know this. Just like they kept YCHT going for a so long after YMSG and Chat2 was released, they kept a serverely outdated protocol running for longer than they needed to.
This can be said for the id's made and supported by this old and outdated protocol, they just won't work on the new protocols, however older id's with underscores will be supported until yahoo! see fit to remove it.
Which thankfully has not happened yet!

An exploit is a common term in the computer security community to refer to a piece of software that takes advantage of a bug, glitch or vulnerability, leading to privilege escalation or denial of service on a computer system.

All posts above are correct, but no one mentioned the old dot exceptions. ie .su or .fu - As most know by now, you can't have less than for characters after the dot, well there is a list of exceptions bot makers have found over the years, like the examples above. And if you are clever, you will think of an ID no one else has yet. ie pf.fu@yahoo.com - thanks to the ID exception (.fu) you can break the no less than 6 characters in an ID rule. There is a list on my blog(see profile for link) of most ID exceptions. Warning though, using one of these ID's will get you an excessive amount of pm's regarding how to get illy's.. how to create these ID's? Just make one

Hi Optikal,
As stated before, these id's are not illegal or rare as Yahoo! allow you to make them.
