Yahoo Messenger screwed my computer up

Ok i fell asleep and left yahoo messenger running all night.i never do that anyway the next day i couldn't check my yahoo mail, pics won't load on websites, some websites don't even load at all. i cannot send email through outlook express.i have no bandwidth.I can't view cams in yahoo messenger either. before this happen my computer was fine. i scanned for spyware and viruses nothing come up. i tried system restore and it didn't work.what the heck is wrong. i believe it's the At+t dns servers in my opinion.

Hi iam20fan, Welcome to bigblueball

I doubt running Y! Messenger all night would contribute to all your listed issues.

If you did have an infection on your pc, using system restore would just keep restoring the infection, why anti virii vendors recommend you turn it off.

If anything the only thing that would contribute to all those probalems would be Internet Explorer, is your internet explorer up to date? have you installed all your critical updates?

and Alt+T dns servers?, as in reference to what?

Have you tried uninstalling Yahoo completely, then rebooting, then reinstalling?

DNS server... hmmm. Never heard it referred to like that. Is the DNS spitting out an ip for you? Ooops that's DHCP hey they start with "D's" so yeah. You shouldn't even have to worry about DNS?

Have you tried flushing your DNS? Right click on your connection and hit "Repair" and it should flush the DNS and re-register it.

Hey "iam20fan" you are leading us all in circles! Is there a problem with your internet connection or do you have a problem connecting to yahoo.com (only)?
