Hi there.

I was wondering if anybody knew of a way in which I could broadcast my webcam to somebody, but not have it show up with the little TV icon in a chat room list? I think this is possible to do because I have seen it once, but I am curious if this requires a plugin or if it is just some setting I can't find in messenger.

The easiset way to do this is to use an alias name to show your webcam and enter chat with your main name or with another alias.

Example:

Main Name: bigblueball
Alias Name: bigblueball_1
Alias Name: bigblueball_2
Alias Name: bigblueball_3

I believe you can create up to six alias names per main id.

So say you enter chat with bigblueball, you can then choose to
broadcast your webcam under your main name or any aliases.
Simply choose to broadcast under an alias name and no one
but the people you want to know will know you have you cam on.

To change which name you are broadcasting on simply turn on your
webcam, click on File in the menu at the top, select Change Profile.
Select the profile you want to broadcast with and click the OK button.

Make sure you do the Change Profile before you go into the chat room.
If you don't you could have the chance of it show your cam icon.
