Alerts & Sounds on V 8.0, they sound funny

I would like to find out why the alert & sounds on the latest version of Yahoo Messenger (V 8.0) sounds funny, for example the knock makes a hisssinng sound, and so does with the other alerts, I had no problem with the alerts & sounds with the version 7.0, I resinstalled the Version 8.0 from this site hoping that this would solve the problem, but still didn't work, I then erased all yahoo folders in the registry section as advised in this forum, then reinstalled it again, but to no avail, still the same old problem, can anyone help me on this, thanks..

Hi rickydavid, welcome to Bigblueball,

The sounds on 8.0 Messenger has been changed.

This is yahoo!'s doing and will probally stay this way for future builds.

However like the older builds you can however add custom sounds or if you like put the old sounds back.

Thanks for the advice, however I tried to download the old sound files from rapidshare and I keep getting this message 404 ERROR, what should I do to fix this problem...
