Though I wonder if the call history format in the white search bar at top has been enhanced ? (Not sure, cos I never really use that).

the res_msgr.dll file have a new version 8.5.0.1 It does not say version 6.0.0.1610 anymore.

ymcvwr.dll was version 2.0.1.3 and now is 2.0.1.4
ywcupl.dll was version 2.0.1.2 and now 2.0.1.4
Proxy.dll was version unknown and now 2.0.0.0

Most of these files have not been upgraded for years. at least for file version lol

Well, a bit "behind the scenes", but better than nothing, Chris

I see YWCVWR is "Webcam Viewer Networking and Imaging"
and YWCUPL is "Webcam Upload Networking and Imaging"

...so... MAYBE they've changed the webcam area, so perhaps those who've had YM cam problems might find it worth retrying with this new version !?

This messenger is notablly updated and optimized for Internet explorer 7.0 full

Since Yahoo! Messenger uses IE control it was evitable and the release of IE 7.0

came the release of 8.1

Yea, but I still notice a weird delay/lag/frame skip on certain emoticons, with Internet Explorer 7 Final installed.

Yahoo has never been perfect. That was a big upgrade to the files, They will work out the bugs with next update.

I can't view the plugins that i have installed. anyone else's installed plugins viewer not working?

Under help drop down menu new options-

* Check for updates
* Product overview
