Its very unlikely you would find any sourcecode to Yahoo! Messenger.
Apart from perhaps the binary and source of the Nix Version. Yahoo! messenger as a whole is NOT open source. Irish Gaming - 1000+ Games and climbing! |

Besides a Windows version of Messenger there are also other platforms supported, as Dermot noted. These platforms are Mac (OS X and Mac OS 8/9) as well as Linux and Unix. The OS X version comes as a binary .bin file (same with the Mac OS 8/9 version). The Redhat Linux versions come as Redhat Pkg Manager (.RPM) which are binary-based, the Debian Linux version comes as a binary package also, a .deb Debian pkg. Finally the FreeBSD version of Yahoo! Messenger is distributed as a gzipped tarball (.tgz) of which 'ymessenger.bin' (the compiled binary) is in the tar not any source code. Even the *nix and Mac versions of Yahoo! Messenger aren't source-based, they're binary-based and closed-source just like the Windows version of Messenger.
