YTK Pro v1.0 Build 250 Release Notes

• Yahoo! Messenger Version 8.1 Build 209 (the newest build out) Now Fully Supported
• Removed /goto and /follow commands in YTK's on-screen command line help as Yahoo has done away with the commands altogether
• Added back external vox to YTK since it was removed prior to YTK Pro's initial release (no voice lag protection implemented)
• Added Keep-Alive option under "Advanced Options" for better client uptime
• Added AlertBar color selection option
• New Anti-Boot Option added (TCP Window Scaling and Buf Size)
• Added an open file dialog which allows you to point to Yahoo! Messenger rather than using a static, hardcoded location. The newer builds of Messenger allow you to install to custom locations so this was needed
• Improved preliminary 32-bit Windows Vista support
• Fixed typing notifications because they were being blocked entirely in the PM handler
• Fixed Messenger termination method as the old method wasn't resource friendly and was forceful which may have caused Yahoo! Messenger to not save some user defined settings
• Rewrote Blocked File Extension handling so that it's updated in real-time and uses the registry for saving blacklisted entries (sorry guys, you'll need to rewrite your lists because it no longer looks to any file, we'll respect your saved files in the future but we were too busy to write a file merging tool)
• Added a "Clear All" button to the Blocked File Extensions area so rules can be completely cleared if need be
• Setting BNF is not possible now in Messenger so this should avoid a lot of problems with zone breaking and/or Messenger's chat room bug
• Alert Bar is now full-screen again with no trailing gap at the end
• "Quick Voice Ignoring" now Only ignores a user from voice by default when enabled unless you have the new "Ignore from chat" option also checked which would also remove a given user from both the chat room and voice
• References to YTK's codename during initial development were removed, happened when detecting programs that could potentially break YTK and appeared in the dialog box (Thanks Ian)
• Fixed chat room filter levels because a bug existed that could put the entire chat room on ignore and anyone who joined thereafter would be auto-ignored when the filter option "Auto-Ignore Bots with Similar Names" was on the lowest setting
• Messenger Connection Type is now checked and adjusted if needed by YTK Pro upon starting the application, it will of course alert you and ask whether you would like YTK Pro to change the connection type for you
• IBM Lotus Sametalk support added to Deny-A-Buddy and User Integrity Check (UIC) PM zones (Magic Word PM Verification)
• "Block But Save PM" option now limits streaming of PMs to 50 to prevent possible flooding and/or resource exhaustion attacks
• Help Sub-Menu in YTK Pro's systray context menu was broken on some systems, it required a full path to the help file with some environment settings so this is now handled accordingly and should display the help file when clicked

YTK Pro v1.0 Beta Build 254 has been released!!

Within only a period of 6 days three new and extremely effective Anti-Boot options have been added. Of these three one of them offers 100% unbootability on the Yahoo! Chat network using YMSG protocol (Flood Deflection - 'Gawd Mode').

• Additions:
• Added 2 brand new Anti-Boot Options (some of YTK's functionality is temporarily disabled because of these 2 new features, please read about the new anti-boot options in the Anti-Boot Protection section of the forum for details!)
  • *New Feature* Activate Flood Deflection checkbox added to Messenger's sign in window for your convenience for enabling/disabling this feature.
  • Gawd Mode feature added for complete unbootability (not kidding here at all regardless of your connection speed). Users can activate this via the command line in chat rooms with /gawd
• Added manual program update checker to YTK Pro's systray menu
• Added support for automatic updates however this will not be usable until next release
• Started initial work on YTK Basic which will be completely FREE to the public when it debuts (VERY soon)
  
  
  Fixes:
• Unpacked ytk_snd_lib.dll with UPX because of an early week "False Positive" detection by Panda software and because packing files can raise suspicion among malware scanners, they removed this "False Positive" detection immediately after I contacted them and provided the file for them to analyze so it should not be flagged anymore
• Fixed open file dialog issue with not being able to locate Yahoo Messenger
• Removed external Vox due to some users experiencing voice connection issues
• Corrected external Event Logger's caption because it was incorrect
• YTK Pro's "About" window wasn't topmost/ontop of other visible windows
• KeepAlive option was broken
• Fixed a minor zone confliction which involved buddies not overriding safe listees (Buddies are always top priority over any other zone) at sign in if a user existed in both zones at the same time

Critical Information - Please Read!

Update your forum profile signatures if you plan to upgrade to this new build, this is mandatory guys and a MUST for us admins and/or mods to be able to assist you with questions or problems.

Any users who are upgrading from a previous build install the new build into the same directory to avoid activation issues, you must uninstall the older build first however and when the installer asks you if you want to install into the already existing directory you must choose "Yes".

A revision of 254 was released tonight, 254a. The only change to this updated build is the /ungawd command to exit Gawd Mode.
