Port scanner/obtain IP
Hey, I'm just wondering something, How do people Obtain your ip address when you chat/voice in yahoo chartrooms then scan your ports?.from what i know there is no way for them to obtian your ip address in less you cam/voice/ direct with them, or do they hack/fool the yahoo sever to revel your ip address?.about the port scanners how do they scan my ports if they don't have my ip/system information?? can they just use an exploit in yahoo or something can some one explain this to me please any help/info is greatly appreciated

From what i know they can not get your IP directly from chat.
Plus fooling yahoo to give your ip is somewhat impossible without getting the request from your pc in the first place. This been p2p service requests like superwebcam, file transfers etc As for scanning ports, there is almost 65,000 ports and the fact they would scan yahoo for connections would be erradic at best. More than likely they are just trying to scare you and once you dont use the p2p options with strangers or click on links form strangers you will be fine. Irish Gaming - 1000+ Games and climbing! |
