Real Names

For some reason the new Yahoo is showing real names instead of user names when I enter conferences. I remember this being an issue when it originally hit version 8 and was wondering if anyone here knows how to fix this via hack or settings or something.

I mean i have all my contacts set up to use thier online name in my contacts list, but this conference thing is weird.

Conferences use display names when chat uses Nicknames

You would have to edit your account details to show your id and change your display name.

Same thing as before, go to "Messenger" then "my contact details" and change display for name and nickname so they both the same so say have Name set to Dermot and Nickname set to Dermot

Click save & close

My name will show as Dermot in conferences.

well it's not me that I'm asking about... it was my friends. Their names were the ones that were showing.

That really sucks though. I just wish Yahoo would let you choose what you wanted and leave it at that.

Well they do, they just don't tell you or make it obvious how and where.
