Yes I do.

Vista Ultimate x64, by the way. In case that makes any difference.

hmm yeah the 64bit might make a difference.

Try the DSP groups homepage for a 64bit version of the updated codec

Not sure if they have a 64bit version but will have a look around and let you know.

I am running Vista Ultimate here and the DSP codec did not fix the voice problem with yahoo chat. It seems the codec is there. The dll, acm file and the registry entry for the codec are there. It shows up on the list of codecs when you check technical support info on media player as well. Very strange why it does not work on ultimate but does on home versions. Any luck on finding out why?

Well, at least progress was made. I have the unfortunate fate of having the Ultimate 64bit version... so i have to wait...but the thing is...before i installed the above codecs it would ask for truevoice when i ran yacswiz. But, now after the install...it has something different...something like this....

No suitable wave format was detected.
Probable cause:
-Other audio applications are open. Close all other applications and retry the test.
-you have no sound card installed.
-The sound device/drivers may be corrupted.
-The sound device does not support any suitable wave format.

hope that helps...I'm willing to be patient.

Ok, I found out that it's possible it may work with Vista Ultimate if you uninstall Yahoo! Messenger completely after installing the codec, and reinstalling it. I don't have Vista to try this on, so I can't completely verify it yet.

I tried uninstalling yahoo and deleting all the yahoo folders. Installed messenger build 244 back but still no voice in chat. The codec seems to be there and ok but still no go on yahoo voice. I am running Vista ultimate 32 bit. Any other ideas?

Start sending emails to DSP over this. It's their responsibility to fix the codec. Who knows, it may be a Yahoo issue on Vista Ultimate.
