Hello, have you tried going to Messenger > Connection as Yahoo is trying to sign in? If so, what is it set to? The normal setting to use is No Proxies, but you can switch between Firewall with no proxies or No network detection and see if it makes any difference.

Looks from the initial post that your HTTP requests to the yahoo server is been refused / lost
It looks like it's been cut off clientside it may be a firewall and i would check your windows firewall and your router possibly to make sure it's not blocking any requests from messenger.. If you have another firewall or anti spyware program that tracks http requests from programs i suggest you go thru the settings and make sure yahoo messenger has full permission to access the net specially for http requests. If you still have the issue it may be getting blocked by your isp or otherwise, so you should ring your isp and explain how you can't access the yahoo website and explain the errors to them so they can check your connection for you.. If you're in a workplace it may been blocked by administrators by blacklisting some of the main yahoo websites messenger requires to work right. Irish Gaming - 1000+ Games and climbing! |

I guess contacting the isp is the last resort however i can sign in my yahoo mail with no problem. Still i would like if you can find out a bit more and oh and thankyou for all your help. |

I'm having similar issue
sheldon, i guess you are lucky!.
I'm now facing the same issue like the one sheldon mentioned. YM works perfectly when i login from my work place. its been working till yesterday and all in a sudden it stopped working and i started getting the same error in the logfile. Tried all possible things i could think of. But no luck. I hope its works the same way it worked for sheldon. I checked the connection preferences. It is set properly. I use windows firewall...Ms Defender and McAfee antivirus. i Disabled all these, still no luck. I checked windows firewall settings too. YM is allowed there. Can someone help me on this issue. |
