Archive problem- archive not working
We have Yahoo Messenger v 8.1.0.249. It works perfectly except for one problem- it does not archive our messages. We like to have our messages archived, that way if we need them for future reference we have them. However, I have tried everything I can think of, and although Yahoo Messenger is set on all user accounts to archive all messages, it does not. It doesn't archive any.
We have Windows XP Home, SP2. We are set up for multiple users- there are six user accounts. All accounts are administrator accounts. Yahoo Messenger works perfectly on all accounts, with the exception of the archive problem. Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to solve this problem, or if this is a known bug? Or, should I just completely uninstall Messenger and then download and re-install it? Thanks a bunch- I appreciate it. Susan |

Yes, I did. I uninstalled completely the older version, rebooted the machine, and then installed the latest version. The archive feature works in all of the users now except one. I have no idea why it won't work on that user. We have tried everything we can think of, but yet when we click on "view archive", even though that user may have just completed an IM session, there is no archive to view.
