No, nothing, I cannot format my PC due to some technical reasons. Currently, I am using an alternate for Y! messenger: Pidgin messenger.

I have no freaking idea as to why it says: "You do not have access to make required system configuration modification" when I try to install Y! messenger. I installed it from an administrator account!! I think there is some problem with my PC, administrative privileges or something.

What brand of computer do you have and what firewall and/or anti-virus are you using?

Sounds to me something happened to ruin the permissions on your Windows user account (like running as a limited user somehow).

@patndoris - I am using Windows XP home edition sp3; antivirus and firewall by ESET Smart Sequtiry Antivirus ver 3.0

@Ven0m - Yea! I think you are right, but the problem is that I enjoy all the administrative privileges while downloading and/or installing other applications/softwares. I am facing problems only while installing Y! messenger.
This is weird, right?!?

That's rather odd actually. I know you're not able to reformat for technical reasons, but I believe it would solve that issue once and for all.

Ven0m, I have observed in version 9.0, the display of the display image cant be controlled in each individual chat window, whereas in ver 8.1, this was possile.
