About pending contacts

Hello From Russia!
I have a question: if I add someone to my Buddy list and after a while of staying on my list as pending contact, this person disappears from the list, , does that mean that the person has rejected my request to add him/her to my list?

Hello and welcome to BBB! You are supposed to get a notification if the person chooses not to add you, but with the way the YH servers are, it would't surprise me if things get lost as they are making changes with the servers.

You might try adding the person again. I've seen a number of posts where contacts were supposedly added, and the person didn't even get the add request.

This can also happen if somebody deletes their account.

I also noticed that sometimes it will stay in the "request pending" state indefinitely, even if they have signed in and out, because they don't get a notification that you added them. Sometimes the notification will reach them but after a long time or the next time they sign in, it seems.

Hello, thank you for giving me such a warm welcome!
I used to have this person on my Friend list for several years, then I put him/her on my Ignore list approximatelyfor I month then I "unblocked" the person`s Id and addad him/her to my Buddy List again. Then, after staying on my list as a "pending contact" for a week o so, the person`s name disappeared from the list.
I added his/her Id back to my list again yesterday. It is on my list as a "pending contact" now.
Let`s see what happens next

Oh.... well. Let` s hope that was onlya techical issue

It happens quite often in my experience. It is a problem with Yahoo that seems common for the last year.
