Installation Problems with Yahoo 9
I am having a rather difficult problem I have recently updated to a Dual Processor E7300 with 4 Gigs of Ram under Windows XP SP3 and have tried to install Yahoo 9 ( which was running very well on my old P4 ). Upon install, it begins to download normally but stops at 99% complete, at which point the machine sits at 80% processor use without progressing any further for at least several hours. I then find that I cannot stop the program without manually uninstalling it after removing it from memory and then starting again. I have tried this 5 times and had the problem repeat itself over and over again. I have restarted the machine many times and have manually stopped every other programme running under windows before attempting to install again. There is no change to the above Scenario though. There are no warning messages and no errors reported. Is there a kink which is possibly a compound issue ? Has anyone struck this problem and can you help me to solve it ? I have been forced to re-install Yahoo V 8.1 which is working well

The stopping at 99% is a known error and Yahoo has said they're trying to address it (you can read this on their Yahoo! Messenger blog).
