MarilynMonroe is on a distinguished road (10)
Have I been blocked??? help a girl out :(

So to make a long story short, the guy I have been talking to has not been online on his ym in a looong time. So I checked the invisible scanner on those sites and it says he is offline..is he REALLY offline?? Is there a way he can make it so those scanners don't pick up him being invisible? Or does that mean he blocked me?!

so confused...

Online status checkers are not accurate. The whole aspect of privacy with regard to a contact list is precisely why people don't know if they've been blocked.

Send him a message, if he responds, he's not offline. Unless he's totally ignored communications from you, he's going to get it eventually - either right away or as an offline later. Or, if you feel you must, you could create a new user and try to talk to him. He may or may not respond to that either depending on how security conscious he is.

I can relate to your confusion. There is no answer I can give you that will clear it all up for you. Try to ask him directly and see if you can get a response. That's the best advice I can give you.

NEVER assume you've been blocked via what an online checker says. They're not accurate at all anymore.
